The newest of the new on Sam and his treatment -
He has finished up his fourth round of chemo! This one was probably the hardest on him and his body, but he pulled through it remarkably. He is scheduled for some more testing on the 31st of this month - CT/PET scan, blood work and if that all goes well, another bone marrow biopsy. We are very anxious to hear these results because they will determine whether or not he will continue with the study and receive radiation treatment or be released from the study and start a new plan. Please keep us in your thoughts while we await the answers!
The baby -
Everything lately has looked really good with her and the doctors no longer have any concerns about her size or her health. If she doesn't make her appearance on her own before next Friday (May 18th) then she will be joining us then! We are all really excited to meet her!
C & C -
They are doing GREAT! Carson is finishing up his first year of preschool and is excited about staying home for the summer and hanging out with "the little baby." He is going to be a great big brother. He made a new little friend in the neighborhood this week and wants to try to learn to swim this summer. Cameryn is a running fool! She is still doing running club after school and loves it. She also joined a mileage club that meets during recess everyday at school, and is playing soccer Tuesday afternoons. Right now she is running almost 8 miles during the week - and loves it! Crazy! She is getting ready to finish up her first year of Kindergarten and has done so well! She has reached all of the goals she needs to advance to 1st grade and then some. Her teacher has told us that she is already reading at the level required to advance to 2nd grade! We are so proud of her!
That's about it right now - We'll be sure to update with pictures of the new addition once she make her arrival!
XOXO

ReplyDeleteWow. I didn't even run 8 miles last week! We usually only do about 10 in our unit. Support people can get away with that. We come equipped with all the trucks ands transports so who needs to run! But Cams legs are so little; that's twice as far to go in my eyes! Jeeze! So what will she do in the summer? You said Carson will stay home.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Sam!
